One of our testers, when she changes the status of an issue from resolved to close, and then saves, the description is changed to empty string !!

I guess that when a user does not have rights to change a description of an existing issue, the description is not rendered as a input field... maybe the description is set to empty because the post parameter is empty?

Update: I gave the user rights to update the description, now the description does not change to empty ...

Another problem we have , is that update role does not save changes sometimes... can not figure out when it does save, when it doesn't..

I have run into a similar issue.  In our new 08.221 install, the description is being cleared when a new comment is added to the bug by a Developer user.  We had upgraded from 07.921 to 08.221 but will probably go back to the previous release because of this issue.

I tried changing the user role as suggested in the previous post, but that does not appear to work.

I have noticed that role updates do not seem to save all the time as well.

We have the same error. Description is lost is a user creates a ticket and adds a Attachment.

How can we solve the problem?

best regards

kai
