Having installed new copy of BugNet to see if it could replace our home-grown system, I've got as far as the default.aspx page for the first-time login. Prompt says "log in as" with username: admin and password: password but this doesn't work. It just gives error message "login attempt was not successful". How am I meant to bootstrap the system first time round?

David.

If there were no errors during the installation then this should work fine.  The last step on the installation is to add the administrator account.

If you installed then moved your installation to another server etc. make sure that you copy the machine key in the web.config to the new web.config.  This key is used for password encyrption and cannot be changed after installation.
