Can someone please explain to me the email features of BugNet...What are the SMTP Server Settings for? The POP3 Mailbox Settings? The lack of documentation is painfully obvious. I really am doing everything I can to get BugNET off the group in my company where about 50-100 users will use it for a variety of projects. Kind of an internal call reporting / issue management / bug tracking system, and I need to have my head squarely around the features to be able to sell my boss why we should take the hit and use BugNET exclusively.

Please help?

Best Regards,

Darryll

What about the SMTP stuff? It's really important...

Email notifications are sent to users when:

  1. Issues are assigned to them
  2. They have subscribed to an issue on the notifications tab of an issue.

Just put in the SMTP email server and username / password (if necessary) in the host settings and select update.

The SMTP notifications do not appear to work, and I believe I have the SMTP properties of the server set up correctly. I could really use some assistance / guidance with this, as not being able to get the email notifcations to work will render BugNet useless for us.

Regards,

D
