Re: Setting up Email Notifications

Thank you for your quick response, but I suppose I should have been more detailed.

I know how to use the notifications, my problem is that only the SITE Admin can add people to project notifications. The project administrators do now have the add/remove capability for any account other than their own. It was my understanding project admins should have this ability is the most current version...so I am wondering if there is a setting I need to change or if  is there a bug preventing this feature from working?

Re: Setting up Email Notifications

Hey waxdoll,

I am not sure about this. Will need to test when I have access to my test system again.

Davin, any ideas?

Re: Setting up Email Notifications
We have several people who must receive notifications about any changes in projects: a Project Manager, a Reporter and a Developer. As far as I understand, it is not possible to create two Project Managers, so that a Reporter must put necessary e-mail addresses into notifications recipients list. Is it possible to create "default" mailing list for a project in order to deliver notifications to all the people involved? If no, can it be planned to be implemented in future versions of BugNET?

Hi Uncle_ko,

You can create a mailing list on your mail server to be a distribution list for bugs on a project. Then create a dummy user in Bugnet with the email address of the mailing list and assign that dummy user to the call.

If this wont work for you, I have created a call requesting a new feature for a default notification list on a project.

Reference is [BGN-654] Default notification list on a project
