Re: Issue not generated from email

I finally figured it out, I installed a POP3 server on one the same development machine that bugnet is installed but the POP3 addresess look like this:
name@xxx.xxx.com because it belongs to and internal domain, and I think bugnet does not recognize that type of email address, when i added a second recipient to the email using my email address user@xxxx.com then I saw errors in the log viewer I created a mailbox with my email and now it creates the issue, don't forget that the email not only has to go in the to: field but also Recipient field

Name of Sender:
Email of Sender:
Name(s) of Recipient(s):
Email(s) of Recipient(s):
Name(s) of CC Recipient(s):

Re: Issue not generated from email

This still is not working for me.  I tried sending an email from Outlook with both bugnet and myself on the subject line and making sure that the Display Name was the same as the email address.  I got the email in my Outlook in box, and it was deleted from the bugnet mailbox but it never showed up in Bugnet.

Re-capping what I've done so far:

  1. Un-commented the MailBoxReaderModule section in web.config for BugNet
  2. Configured BugNET's POP3 Mailbox Settings
  3. Configured mailboxes in BugNET (Home->Administration->Projects->Edit Project->Mailboxes) for issue types Bug, New Feature, and Any.  All are assigned to me.  Currently the mailbox names are: Bugs, New Features, and Any if that matters.
  4. Sent an email from Outlook with the To being bugnet@xxx.com and mont@xxx.com.  For both email addresses the Display name was the same as the email address.
  5. I confirmed that the email was deleted from the bugnet pop mailbox (as hosted by our provider).
  6. Double-checked the email account password by looking in the SQL table.

One thing I don't understand, which might give a clue as to what I am doing wrong, is what project in-coming bugs are assigned to.  How does BugNET know what project to use when there is only the single POP account of the application?

Neither the log within BugNET or the Application even log show any new entries due to the above actions.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
-Mont
