I'm running V0.79 and I don't need the notification functionality. I don't want the project manager to get an email every time an issue is inserted or updated.
How can I switch off this?
If I delete the smtp server and address values in the project settings, then I get error message.

Unfortunatly you can not turn off this functionality.

Too bad .  So then I turn this question into a request for V0.8. Could you please add a switch to turn this functionality off, just as for other ones?

One more question:
I have the idea to write a trigger for table dbo.BugNotification that deletes the inserted Notifications, so I don't get all those errors logged since I don't want email notifications.
Are the notifications sent by email based on the records in the table (email sent after inserting into table) or are the emails sent based on the input from the browser and inserted to the table after sending?

I will add a new feature request to allow disabling of notifications entirely.

You are correct, the BugNotification table is used for sending notifications to users.
