There seem to be issues including enhancement requests on (BGN-1096: Add ability to run query over ... , BGN-588: Be able to view All Issues fea ... ) but I cannot see anything in the latest (0.8.193.0) download on this. Should it be present or has it been dropped? As far as I am and our use here is concerned this is a very important feature. Each project is effectively a customer and we log bugs against that customer. When we need to release a new version of the product we want to know what bugs have been resolved across all customers i.e. projects since a particular date i.e. the last release. This is the type of flexibility that we need for the queries feature. At present, this feature seems a retrograde step as the things like the old 'My issues' feature disappeared with no obvious replacement. I see all the arguments about queries being the way forward. On the surface this does seem to be the logical way to go. Its just at present, from the user perspective it just needs more abilities.

The search functionality is in the source repository along with the code to search multiple projects on attributes (if you desire to use the code rather than  the search).

Davin did break something this weekend so I am not sure if the changes are corrected.

Are you saying that the code isn't in the 0.8.193.0 release but in the latest source code?
I would presume that you are also saying that I shouldn't be seeing anything as no UI has been put on the code changes yet.
If this is the case, are there any plans to do this for the 0.8 release?
I did code up a new all issues page which provided the functionality I wanted but that means changes to the DAL which makes it trickier to pull into later versions. If there were plans to provide a standard UI for this in the 0.8 release then this would save me some work.

Hi Neville,

The code is in the repository and yes it is not included in the 0.8.193 release. However it will be in the next release. There is a UI for it called "Advanced Search". The link will appear at the top right hand side of the page.

You can get the latest code and compile off that or you can wait until we release the next version. I am not sure what the time frames are on the next release, but it should be quite soon.

There are tons of exciting changes in the next release. I am waiting for the next official release as I want to move our work's 0.7 bugnet over to 0.8 and I needed the advanced search before I did that.

Hi,
do you have any idea on when the search could be back? I upgraded BugNET to the latest version (0.8.193.0) as it looks like it's quite stable (it's the one used on BugNET) but I never imagined such an important feature would be missing. Actually each time I use our BugNET I use the search functionality, so I'm quite at a loss right now.
You say "This is implemented in the source code in SVN.". What stage is it? Do you think it's safe to use it? I'd rather have a beta search function that's not perfect rather than nothing.
Thanks.
