Hi. I will trying to use bugnet code for a service desk management system. But due to the requirements of my company I am hoping to change a lot of code in BLL and DAL. I read one of your posts on the forum recommending to use bugnet 8 release as there is less hardcoding and cleaner  business and data access layers in that release than Bugnet 7. Can you please tell me which version is better to use at this stage. Is it a good idea to use BugNET-0.8.129 (Beta version)? I am fairly new in open source development so I can understand its probably not the best idea to use beta. Or is it?

Thanks

I would definetely use BugNET 0.8 at this point.  It is more than just a new version but quite an extensive redesign of the application.  There are still a lot of changes to be made to 0.8 at this point to help 3rd party development though but the general structure will be the same.

One change that will be in the next version is the data layer and business layer will be in their own assemblies to prevent circular references when programming against bugnet.
