i checked the svn source

the missing Default for home comes from

Default.aspx line 53
if you debug the error you can see that it is trying to get a resource for resourceType  = "TabMenu.ascx" and that in the DB it is called "UserControls/TabMenu.ascx"

i am also unable to install to a new clean DB only half works with the supplied DB
it complaints about missing "BugsNet_UserProfiles"

Well I also got the sourcecode from svn, and for me it is running without any problem now!!

Maybe the different versions are causing the problem...

i downloaded the svn source "branches/BugNET 0.8" today 2008 08 25

it has an age of  2 weeks

am using Visula Studio 2008 Team System with SP1
on Vista 64

That is the same code as I used. Since you're using vista, did you change the application pool of your website or Application to Classic .Net App Pool (v2.0)? Also check with the SQL Server Management Studio if the right database is used.

I don't use IIS i use the build in webserver in Visual Studio

The Database i use is the one in The App_Data folder that comes with the download
