I continue to get this error, I am running on Win Server 2003 the {Server}/NetworkService user account has Read, Write, and Change Control of the root website directory and subdirectories. I have an instance of DNN 4.5 running at the root and it runs perfectly.

Any ideas?  Thanks for any Help! MarkDescription: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review the specific error details below and modify your configuration file appropriately.

This exception can be thrown if the virtual directory has not been set to an application in IIS.

I'm having the same problem and virtual directory is configured as an application in IIS.

Can anyone give me some details?

Thanks

Check your ApplicationName setting in BugNET's web.config is not conflicting with the DotNetNuke portal's ApplicationName.
