First of all, BugNET is a great tool and absolutly fits to our needs.

But I have 2 Problems with AD integration:
I was able to do AD Integration, Users can Login (with Login Screen, no pt-auth yet working). But to manage Roles, I need to create users inBugnet. I followed the instructions (seamless user creation) ans also read som threads in the Forum. But logged in Users are not listet in the User-List, so I a not able to give them Roles. I am using W2K8, SQL Server 2008 R2, IIS 7. All Authentications (except Windows) are disabled.

Is there anybody out there who solved this Problem?

The 2nd question is, I want to limit the access to BugNet to a specific AD Group (BugNetUsers). Is there any posibility to configure this (like cn=bugnetusers,dc=mydomain,dc=com?)?

Thanks for your help!

Doesn´t anybody has a Trick or step-by-step what to do?

My steps are:
  1. Add a Domain User as Bugnet Administrator
  2. Edit web.config and set authorization to "Windows"
  3. uncomment HTTP Handler (2x)
  4. Set Application Pool to Classic Mode
  5. Set AppPool Identity to Networt Server
  6. Security: Network Service, Full Control to wwwroot (uargh)
  7. AppPoll Pass-through authetntication
  8. Disable all Authentication Modules in IIS but "Windows Authentication"
  9. make shure .net impersonalization is turned off
  10. Log in with BugNet Admin (see step 1), and change configuration to "Active Directory"
  11. Set Domain/Path to "mydomain" (also tried dc=mydomain or my=mydomain,dc=local, also tried LDAP://dc/cn=...)
  12. perform iisreset
  13. ...???

Now I can Log in with Domain Account.
But still te Problem:

  1. Also IE asks again for domain credentials.
  2. Logging in with a domain user does not create a BugNET User (to assign Roles etc.)

There are no entirs in the log viewer

Are there any suggestions? AppPool? Security Settings?
What are the exact Application Configuration Settings for Authehtication?
Active Directory - okay
User registration (none)
Domain / Path: (mydomain, dc=mydomain or what els could work?

Thanks
Peter
