I have tried installing both the latest stable version and latest beta - both times i've got the same result - installation went without errors, but when I navigate to home page and try to login (whether with a default admin user, or with a newly created one) - I don't get any error messages and just get redirected to Home page. Still, it seems I am not logged in, as log in link is visible and no features of the system are visible. I took a look at the database, and it shows, that the last successfull login of the user is just a minute ago, so it seems it was successfull in some way.

Maybe you have any idea what could be wrong with my installation or configuration?

I installed it on Win2k3 R2/IIS 6/.NET 3.5 machine.

Did you change anything in the web.config besides the connectionstring, the name etc?

Don't think so. Membership provider settings definately stayed the same. Strange thing is that membership provider seems to function normaly, as when I enter wrong credentials (wrong user name or wrong password) - I get an error message, but on successful login I just get redirected to default.aspx (as expected), but I am not logged in, as I still see the login link, don't see any controls, which would allow me to create new projects etc, and the system still tells me to login as administrator.

Are you using the source package?, if so check the session timeout tag and change / remove it.

I have installed from the install package and there is no session timeout tag in my webconfig.

BTW, as the problem exists both in the latest beta and in the latest stable versions, currently I am trying to make beta work, as I assume, that it is the same problem for both versions, which is preventing BugNET from running correctly
