BugNET

Hi,

I know we are lacking behind, but we just tried to upgrade from 0.7.891.0 to 0.7.899.0.
Initially we had issues with FCKEditor not showing anywhere it is used in BugNet, then
we decided to downgrade the version in case that was the issue.  We are now running on 0.7.891.0.

At this point the system won't let anybody log in.  We can see the attempt count going up, but it won't
recognize the passwords.

We are running on MSSQL5 with Forms authentication, Windows 2003 Server.

Are there any suggestions on how to trouble shoot this?  Can I migrate my existing data into a new
installation?  Any way to salvage?

Thank you for the quick response.  I actually did follow the instructions as usual.  We've upgraded a few times before without problems.
I managed to go into the SQL backend and activate user registration.  I added a user then added that user to the Super User role in the 
backend.  I could log in again and see all my data, although none of the other users in the system can!  Not sure why!

Is there a way I can do a fresh install and then import the existing data into a clean SQL DB?
I could also remove all accounts and with my bogus super user and re-establish them.  This still leaves me with the problem that the
FCKEditor won't display any longer.

I hope you can help me, we have a lot of data I don't want to use.

I actually found the issue on our end with FCK not working.  When upgrading there were a bunch of javascript files missing.
I am not sure why they were not unpacked as they exist in the install directory.  Now we are running a new installation of
BugNet with a new database.  We are still trying to figure out how to salvage some of the old data from the other database.
I am not certain if this can be done or if BugNet is sensitive in regards to data migration.
