Can't open Bugnet.sln file

Hello at Bugnet,

I'm in the process of upgrading 0.6.7 to 0.7.963 and I've followed all the instructions on upgrading 0.6.7. I never deleted any of the original files either, I just unzipped the "source 0.7963 package" over top of the old installation and then everything seemed to go fine.

When I logged in I get an error message:

Procedure or function BugNet_Role_GetRolesByUser has too many arguments specified.

Now I'm trying to debug the code in Visual Studio 2005, but when I try opening the Budget.sln file there seems to be conversion issues and the error says that the Bugnet_WAP.csproj file can't be opened. Any help in solving this problem would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance

VictoriaBC

There is no official 0.7.963 package.  Did you mistake the version number?.  When upgrading to 0.7 be sure that all users have unique email addresses.

To open the solution you will need visual studio 2005 sp1 installed.

Is there a more specific error that you receive?

Re: Can't open Bugnet.sln file

Sorry, I meant 0.7.854.....The instructions for upgrading from 0.6.7 to 0.7.854 say to unzipp the source 0.7963 package over the old install files (without deleting any of the old files). Apparently this doesn't seem to change the database, as I'm assuming with the bugnet upgrade comes the database upgrade/update scripts as well. So when a user tries logging in they get the error message as the above post because there getting an extra parameter when they shouldn't. Viewing the projects works fine, it's just when a user tries to login that this error occurs.

I'm not sure if this was the right way to upgrade from 0.6.7 to 0.7.854 or maybe I made a mistake somewhere or the install instructions left something out, but trying the upgrade from 0.6.7 to 0.7.854 using the "Upgrading From Version 0.7.X" instructions seemed to work. I'm just in the process of testing the new upgrade now. Thanks for replying.
