After using BugNET some more, I have these suggestions for streamlining the entry and viewing of issues...

1) Simplify the text entry toolbar. I see the latest CKEditor allows customization. Perhaps let the user select Simple or Advanced from the settings / configuration. The toolbars take up way too much screen space and I know I would not use more than simple formatting. The simple version should be a small, single row toolbar.

2) Improve screen shot attachment uploading. If possible allow paste from clipboard. (I realize this may be technically difficult without fancy plugins.)

3) Improve screen shot viewing. Allow image attachments to be viewed inline or viewed very simply without going through the download dialogs etc.

4) When user goes to add a new issue, fill some default values. Allow the user to set what is the default value as part of the configuration process, where no default is also valid.

More later, thanks for listening :)

Thank you for the feedback. Here are a few comments regarding your ideas and suggestions.

  1. In the web.config find the fckeditor configuration and change the toolbar to "Basic" this is how i have it set on support.bugnetproject.com , if you are familiar with the FCKEditor you may also create your own toolbar sets.
  2. This has been requested also, about embedding images directly and may be possible on a case by case basis with the html editor providers.
  3. Using a lightbox plugin for images has been suggested but not implemented. This would be great.
  4. This has also been requested. I guess a new field on the tables called "isdefault" or something similar so that the project admin could set it in the configuration would be necessary for this.
    1. It has also been suggested to allow the administrator to select which fields show on the issue screen.

I along with my colleagues also vote for all of these enhancements !
They would be great, you need to be able to fast create new issues, and default values would help alot.
Screenshots are used alot for bughandling.
Copy&Paste from clipboard would turn this project into a perfect Help Desk application as well.

Please fix
