National characters

Trying to use BugNet 0.7.881.0 as a project administration tool with customer projects and I'm having problem with national characters. They can be used when entering an issue but when updating the issue with assign and/or status the characters will be replaced.
The å ä ö characters will then be replaced by &#229 ; and ä and &#246.......
I'm using SQL 2000 with Collation name: Finnish_Swedish_Cl_AS.
Is this a bug or just not supported?
