difference between resolved and closed 

First of all, thank you for this great product.

What is the difference between the status closed and the resolved?

Resolved usually means that work is completed, fixed etc. and the appropriate resolution can be set with the resolution field.

Closed - The issue is considered dead and the the resolution is correct.

In the current release, it is possible to define new status values in the database only.

In 0.8, you can define custom status values per project with an image associated with it.  Check out my blog post on the new adminsitration functions for 0.8.
