This basic settings screen allows you to configure the basic settings for BugNET
1. Basic Settings
- Title: Enter the title of your BugNET installation, this appears on the front page of the application and may be your company or project name.
- Welcome Message: The welcome message appears on the front page in the green box. This could be instructions on how to register or contain html links to a main website etc.
- Default Url: The default url should be the fully qualified domain name to your BugNET installation. The default url is used in email notifications to add hyperlinks to issues.
Examples of default URLS:
http://www.domain.com/
http://lanserver:8080/BugNet/
http://192.168.0.1/AnotherFolder/
Tip
If your BugNet server is on the local network your users might access it via the local ip address (eg http://192.168.0.1) or via the lan machine name (eg http://myserver001).
However this will cause login and authentication problems if they are using a url which is different from the Default Url setting above.
Users need to access the site via the same url that BugNet is configured to use.
