Much of my time on the project is spent writing code, whether it be bug fixes, new features or improvements to the application. In between writing code, I work on the layout of the application but this is not my strong point and often becomes a second priority. In order to better improve the UI and layout of the application I would like to recruit someone to fill the UI / user experience role on the project.
Some of the contributions that this role will play include:
- An advocate of a user for the team
- Help improve the UI and layout / create a default theme for the application
- Identify and help with changes required for moving to ASP.NET themes
- Review new features and / or improvements to the application from a UI standpoint
Ideally I would like to bring someone onboard with previous web / application and graphic design experience. Familiarity with ASP.NET, and the theme engine would also be beneficial. If you can, some screenshots or examples of previous designs would be nice.

BugNET would be much much easier to use if it had an Outlook-style layout - please see the following: You would get a better overview of your tasks. Now you first have to click on Project, then click on buglist.aspx?pid=something and then you can get on with what you really want... this is time consuming and not very user friendly. I think the default design should be very very very light weight, because the more time it takes to load graphics, html and so - the longer the development process will take - and in some companies high bandwith is still not available. I am thinking "Google-simpleness-spiced-up-in-an-Outlook-sort-of-layout.".

May be we need to Ajaxify the whole thing! Minimize the clicks...better user experience... As perels mentioned above, "simpleness" should be the key.
Theme should include the following (IMHO):
- Like other accessible website, the theme should have capability to change text (like link on top right corner somewhere)
- Optional color change (grey, dark, light)
- Centered fixed align (700px) or full width (for wide screens)
- etc.
Let me see if I can come up with something...been veeery busy with everything else...
