I have to apologize to all those who are installing the issue tracker for the first time but the latest install package does not create an up to date database.

To fix this manually perform the following steps on your database:

  1. Run this sql statement against the database to add the proper version
UPDATE HostSettings SET SettingValue = '0.7.891.0' WHERE SettingName = 'Version'
  2. Run the 0.7.891.0.SqlDataProvider.sql script from the install directory on your database to reflect the current changes.

All existing installations are unaffected by this problem and should reflect the current changes in the latest version.

The install package will be updated tonight to fix this.

Various parts of the site, forums and blogs may be disabled this afternoon for a few hours for an upgrade.

Thanks,

Update: Since the forum upgrade posting new threads is not working properly.  I will be working to resolve this ASAP.   Posting replies to existing threads is still working properly.

Much of my time on the project is spent writing code, whether it be bug fixes, new features or improvements to the application.  In between writing code, I work on the layout of the application but this is not my strong point and often becomes a second priority. In order to better improve the UI and layout of the application I would like to recruit someone to fill the UI / user experience role on the project. Some of the contributions that this role will play include: An advocate of a user for the team Help improve the UI and layout / create a default theme for the application Identify and help with changes required for moving to ASP.NET themes Review new features and / or improvements to the application from a UI standpoint Ideally I would like to bring someone onboard with previous web / application and graphic design experience. Familiarity with ASP.NET, and the theme engine would also be beneficial.  If you can, some screenshots or examples of previous designs would be nice....

To meet the growing needs of the project we have enabled donations through the sourceforge.net website. Donations will be used to help fund the cost of web hosting, development software, and other project costs that are incurred while developing the BugNET application.

If you are looking for web hosting you can help support the project by using the referral id dubeaud when you sign up at webhost4life.

Thanks to everyone for their continued support.
